Sure Foot Builders was founded by Raymond Thompson, whose background in construction started early and developed across multiple regions, including the Southeast, Southwest, and mountain environments.

In addition, our office operates on a Net Zero energy basis. Although not officially certified, we generate more power than we consume, reducing our carbon footprint. We have successfully constructed several Net Zero-certified homes and have extensive experience in creating Net Zero-ready homes, designed to maximize energy efficiency and minimize reliance on external energy sources. Our dedication to sustainable building practices ensures that our homes and office reflect our commitment to a greener future.
Better Financial Planning
Every home we have built has been completed using Fixed-Price and Turnkey contracts. By utilizing Fixed-Price contracts, we provide our clients with a clear and agreed-upon cost for their home construction. This eliminates the risk of unexpected expenses and allows for better financial planning. We are currently offering renovations, additions and ADUs with fixed-price turn-key contracts as well.
In addition, our Turnkey contracts ensure that we take care of every aspect of the construction process, from start to finish. We handle all the details, including design, procurement, and construction, providing our clients with a hassle-free experience.
With Fixed-Price and Turnkey contracts, our clients can have peace of mind knowing that their home construction will be carried out efficiently, on budget, and to their satisfaction.

3. Design & Scope Alignment
We work with you (and designers/engineers as needed) to define layout, structure, and key systems. For additions and renovations, this includes integration with the existing home—structure, airflow, insulation, and moisture control.
4. Fixed Pricing & Agreement
Once scope is defined, we provide a clear, fixed-price proposal. You know what’s included, how the project will proceed, and what to expect.
5. Pre-Construction
Permitting, scheduling, and material coordination are handled before work begins. This phase sets the project up for efficient execution.
6. Construction
Our team manages the build with ongoing oversight, coordination, and communication.
Each project includes:
- Multiple inspections throughout construction
- Quality control at each phase
- Coordination of trades and schedule
7. System Verification & Completion
Before completion, key systems are checked and verified to ensure performance—especially important in renovations and additions where new and existing systems must work together.
